i wouldnt say my outlook on me being a writer has changed much. i mean i believe i gained much insight on how to improve my writing but i still think it has a long way to go. i still am standing by what i said when i said i liked to write but i still dont write for leisure, its just not fun to me. writing is a great past time though and you can record your thought and look back on what you were thinking that day. i believe that there are many great writers in my class though. I have learned different styles of writing and enjoyed reading their work. The tips and new stuff i learned in 1101 will for sure help me in my future english classes and writing classes.

to me this website is "attractive" because it appeals to me i could not only spend hours on that website but its so entertaining. you know everything about everyone at the tip of your fingers. I like to be in the loop with new things with my friends and family. Facebook is also a great way to communicate with people you are not close with or if they dont live near you.

myspace to me is terrible. its almost trashy in a sense to me. i dont like it and i dont like going on it anymore. i used to have on and was addicted to it like i am to facebook now but now that i do have a facebook i dont ever go on my myspace. its just not appealing to me anymore. others may like it but i am not one of them.

wikipedia is an unatrractive site because there is no color at all. there is nothing to draw the attention of the reader and is really boring. The font is bland and is not welcoming. there are some pictures but most of them are in black and white which makes it even more boring. i dont think wikipedia is a very fun website and we arent even allowed to use it so why look at it?

obviously we know that cosmo magazine is full of color and life! thats why i love it, it pulls you in just by the colors on the front cover. it has so many different fonts and such a warm vibe that it makes it a very attractive website. there are so many pictures that have every color imaginable instead of everything being in black and white. it is not bland at all and really makes you want to read it.

On July 18, 2009, Caitlin Hanrick was 13 when she was struck and killed by a stolen car on a pedestrian crossing between 2 campuses of Recliffe state high school on oxaley ave. The driver of the stolen Holden Commodore, Adrielle Faith Coolwell, was affected by drugs and alcohol and was driving an unregistered car without breaks. She was sentenced to 9 years in jail for her role in the crash. The police had been chasing the stolen Holden Commodore, reaching speeds of 120 km/h in a 60 km/h zone. The stolen car sped through red lights and drove on the wrong side of the road but officers did not abandon the pursuit.

the article i chose was from cosmo.com, its not exactly an article but it was the opening page when you pull up the online magazine. there was so much going on in this page. there were so may attention grabbers with the video clips showing the latest news and pictures inside the newest issue. also all the sex tips and fashion tips really pull women in. The colors on the page show spunk and excitement and give off a welcoming vibe and makes the reader want to keep reading. There are a lot of sexual articles included in this magazine and many portrayed on this opening page so this magazine is suitable for older teens and young women. I think that pictures give off just as much meaning as words to, but in different ways. A picture can give off the same meaning of the words that go with it but also can be taken with a whole different meaning depending on who reads it, especially without seeing the words that correspond to the picture. A picture can definitely be rhetoric just like words can. it all depends on how you interpret the picture. you can make any kind of assumption about a picture and or words all based on your mind set. use your imagination!
